Local charities supported by BBGL
Being embedded in Laos and with its members being integrated in the business environment and wider Lao society, the BBGL also wishes to contribute to the development and well-being of Lao society. BBGL has been supporting three local charities over the years that have positive impacts in the fields of disabled persons, children’s development, and nature conservation.

The LDWDC is a centre that empowers women with disabilities through vocational training and advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities. It’s action also extends to influencing government, business and the community to provide equality of access for disabled women and girls, and encourages communities to recognise the ability of disabled women to be productive and equal members in their community.

Lone Buffalo builds brighter futures for young people in Laos through education and youth development.
Lone Buffalo is an Education and Youth Development project committed to improving the lives of young people living in the province of Xieng Khouang. It aims a building better futures for young people by also providing free English tuition and introducing them to the benefits of sport and exercise for leading healthy lifestyles. The different activities run by Lone Buffalo also try to develop leadership qualities and promote gender equality.

The mission of Lao Elephant Initiative (LEI) is to promote the wellbeing of both captive and wild Asian elephants through education, community partnerships, and and innovative conservation strategies. The work involves a range of conservation and environmental initiatives, including a captive elephant welfare project, with the aim of supporting wild elephant populations in a National Biodiversity Conservation Area (NBCA).
